The County of Argaalia Minoris Proclaimed
Late last night, the County of Argaalia Minoris was proclaimed and established under the rule of the House of Knave. The blood-red banner with gold lion of the House of Knave flies above the island to drive point the fact that this area is under new “management”. The province of Argaal in the United Solomonic Empire incarnation was the home of the Argaalian people, who according to Atteran nationalities are equated to Anglo Saxon people in the real world.
With the recent changes in the Solomonic Imperial Government where His Majesty, the Emperor completely scrapped the entire government by sacking it once again earlier this week this Monday. In addition to firing Count Enyo, all of the nobles have been stripped of their titles and positions unless they are willing to help out through financial means. Only Count Enyo and Count Nakita along with the new Countess Scarlett are the few who can either afford the small price to own land or position, or are willing to help pursue the dream of purchasing another future part of Attera Prime proper. The massive restructuring, along with up turning the entire society in Attera Prime, the purchase of the island in Sa’ania harbor was a signal to the Solomonic Imperial Crown that there are some Atteran citizens who are still endeared to the Atteran ideal and are willing to actually break free of His Majesty’s pocket.
Countess Scarlett purchased the island at a cut-rate price which was originally to be the same size as the County of Avril but, additional requirements and side deals have been attached to the purchase which increased the size of the island as well as the prim rate. Since Countess Scarlett will be opening a night club on the island, this will replenish the activity level in Attera Prime once again, as the austere measures to reign in free loading on the part of His Majesty, the Emperor has brought activity to a stand still.
The view taken by the Solomonic Imperial Crown was issued in an official statement was as follows, “With the acquisition of the Argaalia Minoris by the House of Knave and the subsequent promotion of the former Baroness Scarlett to Countess, this situation will serve to others as to how to gain the Imperial favor once held by all. Let her actions serve as an example for all to emulate as Countess Scarlett is now in a position to earn valuable income, wield authority within her fiefdom as well as contribute to the economy of Attera Prime.”

Think of the Solomonic Empire of Attera Prime as an alternate reality of sorts where things are similar to our reality, but where things are a little different. Our sim is not a combat zone, but combat may occur if tempers get heated. Think of a place where things in society are a bit more “course” than our own reality, but some of the technology is more advanced. There are corrupt policemen, firemen who are arsonists, government officials who don’t care about their constituents, all of the same social ills that we have here in our reality. But in Attera Prime, there are various twists to these social ills and in this place, the people who “exist” there are striving to create something new and better than the society we currently live in. This is to bring in a little realism to the sim as a whole, as well as a means of keeping people a bit honest. In addition to the monarchic tradition of Attera Prime, there are many jobs to be done all throughout this society, but being that this is a relatively new “nation” a major bit of chaos does exist. The goal of this simulation is the following: To create a new virtual society that is realistic within the confines of Second Life and to merge micronational traits to the society. This is in the hopes of bringing about a new definition of nation. It is a daunting task filled with pitfalls and great success, but time will be the judge if this can come about.
Atteran society is based on a warrior concept similar to Sparta, Ethiopia or Imperial Japan, where many of the warrior codes were finely honed. Honor and honorable dealings are held in high esteem, while dishonorable actions are harshly dealt with.
Equality is not something that Atterans believe in. Their take on equality is “All of us Atterans are equal in the eyes of the law, but even within our ranks, some were given more by the Creator [Blessed be He] than others. In that, we are not all equal, nor should we strive to be.” - Ras Rodriguez before Parliament in December 1999. While equality may not be their strong suit, there is an underlying streak of fairness that is carried to the extreme which counterbalance this unequal view.
In the sim of Attera Prime, there are nobles who are to support the Imperial Crown at all costs. There are other parts of society as well- all attempting to forge ahead for supremacy of the empire. At the top of this group of people is HSIM Mik’el Tzion I, Emperor of All the Atterans and All the Atteras (Imperial Ruby) along with his Empress, HSIM Xharhaza “Queen” bint Grashnar Grashnar Tzion (Queen Grashnar), who rule this land.
Below them are the nobility and the regular citizens who strive to bring this new idea of nationhood to a virtual reality. This chronicle will illustrate that with building any nation there will be great difficulty as well as moments of great progress. Here, the Attera Prime Gazette will continue to follow the lives of many of these Atteran citizens and the events they undertake.
